ITALY. The commissioning of the two Polytec robots for automatic sampling and measurement on the LF furnaces in the steel plant ORI Martin was successfully completed. Thanks to constant research and development and collaboration with the customer, a new function has also been integrated, it's the level sensor system which, integrated on the liquid steel sampling lance, is able to accurately determine the level of the bath in the furnace and makes it possible to accurately estimate the tons of steel.
Today, the ORI Martin plant in Brescia installed seven robotic cells on the main production process and continues to invest in technology to increase operators' safety and improve production performances and quality standards.
