The technology for the control, automation and software that manages the huge opening roof of the Al Bayt stadium in Doha, where yesterday was inaugurated the the FIFA World Cup 2022, is signed by Polytec.
The roof of the 60.000 seats stadium has been developed like in a similar way to the Wimbledon's center court stadium, which allows the roof to be opened or closed during events, in order to maintain ideal climatic conditions inside the sports building.
To reach this result, Polytec has been chosen as technological partner with its own hardware and software solutions based on the SiemensTIA platform.
Yuri Bazzoli, Head of software development: “From the software point of view, we have designed an architecture that allows the system to be controlled in total safety, even in the event of a failure. We have made this technology, until now applied only to aeronautical systems, available and functional for the optimal management of different operations, such as this global sporting event which, for no reason, can be interrupted."
Mirko Bottini and Andrea Tonini, founders of BM Group Polytec do not hide the emotion they felt last night in front of the TV and express satisfaction: "We are proud to have been chosen as suppliers of this extremely important technology. A concrete example that demonstrates that in Italy and in #Trentino there are excellences appreciated all over the world.”
