At Zekelman Industries Picoma, the 4’’ Tube Bending Cell for steel and aluminum elbows production is working. The proposed solution greatly improves production’s cycle and capacity and it also allows: the production of finished products with high quality standard and tolerances with guarantee of process cycle, the Storing of all necessary production recipes (production database) for an automatic setting and adjusting of the bending and bundling parameters, the Safety improvement because no operators’ access to dangerous areas of operation is needed.

The Covid-19 unfortunately stopped us in the most delicate project’s phase. We had to organize a remote and computer assisted Factory Acceptance Test. Despite restrictions and difficult procedures for travelling, we have guaranteed our in-person presence during the commissioning, solving also unexpected issues happened. The customer was really euphoric, both for the cell performances and for the reliability and commitment of our team. “
