The rolling stands washing robotic cell, PolyWASH, is a turnkey smart robotic cell developed to handle the cleaning needs of rolling stands, passes, boxes and other rolling mill parts in a completely autonomous way. With high pressure water pumps (3000 bar), waterproof robot and an insulated cabin, the system is able to receive the parts, identify the shape from a receipt and perform the cleaning cycle autonomously. The purpose of this cell is to improve (up to 50%) the expected life of the rolling mill parts and to reduce the manual dangerous tasks of these activities.
